Kumar is a senior technology executive with experience spanning telecom, broadcast and media industries with over twenty years in the industry. Prior to igolgi, he held senior management positions at Thomson Inc., including Worldwide Head of Corporate Research and CTO of the $4 Billion Systems Division which included head end products from Grass Valley and all home client solutions including settop boxes, modems and gateways. He holds 120 US patents and has over 80 pending applications. He has been awarded the Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Award by the HKN Society in 2000 and is a Distinguished Alumnus of NIT, Trichy. He is an Industry Advisor for WINLAB at Rutgers University. Kumar has a PhD from RPI in Electrical and Systems Engineering, MS(Math) from RPI, MS in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt and BE from NIT, Trichy, India.
